- Missing Persons- Children and Adults- ICI has the experience and training to locate missing children and adults. Going though the emotional trauma of having a child, spouse, relative or loved one missing is a nightmare. It is very important that the person is properly reported to law enforcement as soon as possible. Insist that a written missing persons report be generatedand a detective assigned to the case. Ask law enforcement to place the person on the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database and to secure all surveillance videotapes of businesses at and nearby the last known places the missing person visited just prior to his or her disappearance. Provide a recent photograph of the person to law enforcement. Create flyers with a current photo of the missing person and contact the media. Ask law enforcement to secure the cell phone records, toll call records, computer activity and bank account records of the missing person to check for recent activity. If there is a vehicle associated with the person's disappearance request that the VIN number and license plate number be entered on the NCIC also. Ask law enforcement to perform an offline NCIC search to determine if there has been any police contact with the missing person between the time of disappearance and the time originally entered on the NCIC. If the missing person is a child contact the National Center For Missing And Exploited Children NCMEC) at 1-800-THE-LOST or 1-800-843-5678. Their website is www.missingkids.com. If the person is an adult contact the National Center for Missing Adults (NCMA).
